Makeup Is My Wig

On Twitter, Roger Ebert posted a link to his post about Talia, a twelve year-old cancer patient who vlogs makeup tips and cancer treatment. As a friend commented when I posted this on Facebook, she knows how to do makeup better than most people three times her age. And I love the idea of wearing makeup instead of a wig. Here's a super cute example:

You can also fan her on Facebook and follow taliajoy18 on Instagram.

It might be wrong, but I get frustrated reading her ardent fan comments on YouTube. If the Divine could cure cancer, don't you think she deserved to be cured five years ago? I know it's bad to judge other people's religious views, but simplistic ideas about "handing it over to God" and "He has a plan" really piss me off. If the Divine Essence of the Universe's plan really was to give children neuroblastoma and preleukemia, I sure wouldn't believe in it.
